LZ Distraction: Throwback May @ Jake Melnick’s

 

Description: We’ll be the first to admit that despite the fact that we enjoy super fine dining, we always appreciate our childhood favorites – PB&J, mac ‘n’ cheese, chicken fingers, grilled cheese, etc. There’s nothing quite like the meals mom makes us for lunch. So now we’re them bringing back…but adding some twists to the mix.

 

Jake Melnick’s is bringing you a twist on your standard PB&J sandwich. Yes, it’s the PB&B Burger. It’s…peanut butter and bacon. Yes, BACONNN. And for more of a twist, say hello to homemade Sriracha peanut butter to kick things up a notch in your burger. Add those two ingredients plus cheddar, lettuce and tomato on a pretzel bun and you’ve got yourself a PB&B Burger! This burger of the month is priced at 13.95, or 14.95 when accompanied by a draft beer to quench your thirst.

 

But if this burger isn’t your thing, how about a twist on another childhood favorite, mac ‘n’ cheese? The Cubano Mac is mixed with smoked pit ham, pork shoulder, dill pickles and melted Swiss cheese for an out-of-this-world flavor combo! Mmmm, delish.

 

And as per usual at Jake’s, you can’t come here without getting some wings. And this time you’ve gotta try the Holy Mole! Wings! Jake’s jumbo grilled wings are served with a rich Mexican lager mole sauce and garnished with cilantro, toasted white sesame seeds, tortilla strips and radish.

 

And you can wash all this down with the beer of the month – Duvel Single!
