Brunchin’ It Up: Mother’s Day + Time to Celebrate
It's a celebration and time to toast it up to....our moms! What better way to celebrate than by checking out some of the best brunches the city has to offer.
brunch @ puck's cafe: museum of contemporary art
Rediscover the art of Sunday brunch at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Indulge yourself with delicious specialties created by Wolfgang Puck while overlooking the MCA sculpture garden and Lake Michigan. Brunch is served from 11 am–3 pm. Adults $70/Children $30 (ages 12-16) and free (ages 11 and under).
sepia
One of just two Sundays when Sepia makes brunch available (see if you can guess the other one), Sepia will serve a prix-fixe menu ($45, $25 ages 12 and under) consisting of assorted breads and pastries, four appetizers served family style, choice of five entrees and dessert assortment. Special brunch cocktails available for $10.
carnivale
Carnivale will open early for special Mother’s Day hours and feature unique a la carte brunch items created by executive chef David Dworshak. Menu highlights include torrejas (French toast, sweet plantains, smoked bacon, maple syrup, with fresh fruit; $11), arepa eggs benedict (corn arepa, pork belly, raw cheddar, fried egg, aji limo sauce; $14), grilled lamb chops (purple potatoes, spring onions, snap peas, pistachio salsa verde; $24), breakfast cazuela (Spanish chorizo, marble potatoes, Iberico cheese, baked egg, pimenton; $12), and corn boudin (Three Sisters cornmeal, cheddar, shrimp salad with creamy rocoto sauce; $13). Brunch specials will be available from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
frontier
Frontier serves a three-course, prix fixe brunch for $30 per person. Bottomless mimosas are included, and the meal ends with whiskey gelato, coffee and beignets topped with powdered sugar.
